Photos of Gallito Ciego and Importance
Gallito Ciego is very important to many places near it like Tembladera because it gives them water and electricity. It creats electricity by the movement of water through a turbine that is connected to a kind of magnet and it sends it to the places near.
It is located in Yonan, province of Cajamarca. Gallito ciego forms an impressive lagoon in the river Jetequepeque.
Chan Chan
Chan Chan is located between Huanchaco and Trujillo in La Libertad, in the northern part of Peru. Its location close to the beach shows the importance of the fishing and the sea. Chan Chan is very important to the arqueologists because it is the biggest mud city in the world and because with that city we can know more about the Chimu culture and their behavior. We can conserve Chan Chan by protecting it from the rain putting roofs above it so the water don`t affect the walls, and protecting it from people that draw and write on it. We were surprised of Chan Chan because it might be very difficult to construct a city of mud in that conditions.
Huaca de la Luna
Huaca de la Luna is made of adobe who is ubicated at the northern part of Peru in the department of La Libertad, 5 Km south of Trujillo. It was built by the Mochica culture hundreds of years ago. It is located near La Huaca del Sol that was also built by the Mochica culture. We think that this huaca was built for the moon because we for the Mochicas the moon was a more important god than the sun because they saw that the moon appeared day and night when the sun only appeared in the day. I think that this huaca was used in honor of the moon. For me the huaca is a very nice place because I like the paintings in there and its structure.
Señora de Cao
The Señora de Cao is important for the Mochica Culture because it tell us about the tattoos they used, how were they jewerly ,how were burried and with what were they burried. La Señora de Cao was discovered by Regulo Franco in the huaca of Cao viejo. She was a little person and she died between the 20-25 years.
Complejo Arqueologico El Brujo
El brujo is one of the most important archaelogical sites and ancient of the northern coast of Peru. It is located in Chicama River valley in the district of Magdalena de Cao, Ascope province, department of La Liberty about 60 miles about 60 miles north of the city of Trujillo. It is open to the public since May 12, 2006. There was found "La señora de Cao".
